Upcoming Conversations

DataPortability Los Angeles Meetup - May 24th Los Angeles, CA

Did you do a presentation?

I (Joe Cascio -joec0914 at gmail.com) did a presentation on Social Network Fatigue Syndrome at PodCampBoston2. It talked about the portability problem and how OpenID could be used by social networking sites to partially solve the "finding my friends again" problem. I am signed up for PodCampNYC2 in April, and may also go to SXSW Interactive in March. I will probably do the presentation again at PodCampNYC, but I think the SXSWi session dance card is probably full.

I gave an introduction on Data Portability and I put the slides online on my blog: http://mrtopf.de/blog/conferences-and-meetings/my-barcamp-data-portability-presentation-and-how-to-defend-critics/

There you will also find some objections and possible answers to the project which came up at my presentation at the Web Monday in Aachen where we had a very critical crowd.
