Our message of the month is that DataPortability.org has direction. Three, actually.

  1. Doing the Right Thing: the challenge of morals, ethics, and laws
  2. Supporting the Social Software Stack
  3. Technology Evangelism and Consumer Marketing

DataPortability.org volunteers embrace these challenges with small projects. Read more about the DataPortability.org direction talking points on our monthly message calendar.

One problem we usually have in the Technical Action Group (TAG) is how to find consensus on certain points. In order to solve this the following process is proposed:

Process - How to find consensus

This announcement follows this process. So please discuss this proposal as defined inside it until May 24th 12PM GMT.

The process tries to solve the following problems:

  • discussion is only happening between 2-3 participants in the TAG usually. This is not enough to get a broad set of opinions. So we need to get more discussion happening.
  • there is no way yet defined on how to finalize a proposal.

So please discuss this on this post.
